All right! But how? There is no link with it on this page by default. Installation went well, I am able to access the page by default on this machine with instructions and guidelines mention that I should really use the web interface instead of the vsphere client. I test esxi 5.5, downloaded the latest version and installed in a test machine. Good guys, maybe I'm missing something very obvious here but I couldn't find an answer. Out of curiosity, this shows the VMHostname? More simple would you give permissions to view read-only on the vCenter and let this authorization to spread. You must speak with the vCenter admin I guess.

What I do wrong with PowerCLI so I can't get a dump of the hosts on the vCenter? I can see them all in the vSphere Web Client, so permissions seem fine. Get-VMHost returns nothingĦ get-vmhost-Server returns nothing

$defaultviserver | Select * shows me the default connection properties.ģ get-data center shows me 2 data centers DC1 and DC2Ĥ get-DataCenter DC1. I did the following:ġ connect-VIServer the username-password IluvVmWare -acme\BigDog connects fine without error.Ģ. I can see 80 guests when I connect via the Web Client vSphere, but when I use the PowerCLI cmdlets, a Get-VMHost returns nothing. The goal is to get a list of VM guests in a vCenter via PowerCLI. Why can't I see hosts/guests in my vCenter while I can see them in the Web Client vSphere?
